No 9 Gray Brick Manor |
This brick manor is a newly finished project. The historic look brick wall pieces are painted a soft gray, and trim is a nice crisp white, and accent colors of a deeper gray for contrast and depth.
The focal and curb appeal are the porch and No 9 stained glass window films on the lovely double French doors. A floral stained glass was also used in the second set of double French doors in the same room , leading out to the side yard.
The foundation has the hand done rustic stone look for extra texture.
The railing over the front porch and front window balconies is a wonderful 2in. wood from the U.K.
The steps I made for the side doors on the house are straight, but the front just popped with the half round look ones.
The wood shingles were stained in a mid tone gray, and both square and octagon style were used.
Just under the roof line I was able to use a gorgeous vintage wood bracket molding that picked up at a miniature show and had just exactly enough for this house.
This piece I made to sit on the roof. I re did a longer dormer window to be the front focal one. The two side windows have the flower circle design in the stained glass.
The beautiful laser cut staircases and railings on all three floors are stained in English Chestnut.
All the ceilings have a fun special treatment. Why not?
The landscape pieces were made using mostly white and pink florals. Just a touch of purple, raspberry, and of course red roses. Also just needed a little cherub bird bath....
Seriously, you need to write a book and/or give seminars. You are amazing
